There are those days…those days when prayer is your only recourse and you wish someone would do it for you. You need to be lifted up in the hopes of getting just a little bit closer to God the Father. But you’re tired and weary and worn and beaten down. So you wish someone would come along and hold you up…’cause you can’t hold your self up any longer.
Let’s be that support for each other. Let’s set aside Tuesdays to pray for each other in community. Let’s run to the feet of Saint Martha, a woman who worked and worried in our Lord’s physical presence. Let’s recommend ourselves and our sisters in Christ to her. {Tuesdays have been traditionally set aside as a devotional day to St Martha.}
Here is the novena prayer, asking the intercession of St Martha for each of us here at Suscipio. After all, our very name means to encourage, support and maintain, so let’s have a plan to do just that.
If you have a prayer intention stop by on Tuesdays and leave it in the comments. {This post will re-run each Tuesday morning as a reminder.}

@ Samantha~ I understand the situation with your daughter and my heart goes out to you…you will be kept in prayer.
Please continue to pray for my mom who suffers from cirrhosis of her liver. She is getting ready to meet with a liver doctor.
Also, for my husband and I…we are having financial difficulties and my husband is looking for another job. We are making sacrifices but we are at the point where we might have to move into a less expensive home or apartment.
Thank you.

I have added each thing to my readings and prayer intentions Theresa. Hang in there! I understand the financial stuff too…
Please pray:
For my sister who has a nerve disease and has had two nerve blocks in her face and the pain is back. We were hoping for better results. The next option may only be dangerous surgery.
For my Uncle Wayne who only has an unpredictible amount of time with us left due to cancer.
For Andrew’s nanny who is having trouble with her heart. She is 91.
For myself, which now seems to minor but prayers are ok none the less…for a long month of sickness, sinus infection and upper respiratory infection. My little guy is struggling too. We are both on medication. He isn’t nearly as bad thank you Jesus.
For my little girl who is 6. She has to go back and forth between 2 homes every week (week on week off) This weighs heavy on me as her mother and it has been this way since she was 1. I pray for her strength. She seems well but sometimes wishes things were different. She is such a well adjusted child considering circumstances beyond my control. Please pray for both homes to provide her everything she needs…so far we are all working together.
Thank you for your prayers….i know how powerful prayer is so I thought I would put all this to you ladies.
