Good Morning Ladies! Catholic Child Catalog, who has sponsored Suscipio almost all of 2012, has offered a FANTASTIC giveaway. Leane at Catholic Child is giving one of you a $35 Gift Certificate to spend any way you like at Catholic Child Catalog.
I can’t win, but if I could, I would definitely consider a crucifix. Holy Mother Church has always recommended a crucifix for each room of the home, especially bedrooms.
I would also look into a Holy Water Font to be kept by the door so we could bless ourselves coming and going. Again, another pious practice recommended by the Church.
Lent begins on February 13th this year. Does that seem early or is it just me? Catholic Child Catalog has a large selection of Lent and Easter items. I just found this, The Stations of the Cross, Holy Heroes Audio Story. That would be great to listen to on Fridays during Lent, or any Friday during the year.
I have never seen this, An Easter Scene. I like the idea, like setting up the Nativity for Advent and Christmas, only an Easter Scene for Lent and Easter.
And you know I love the Catholic Saint videos.
To enter, hop over to Catholic Child, come back here and tell me what you would buy with your $35 dollars and you’re entered. The winner will be announced on Monday the 7th of January in the Catholic Woman’s Almanac post.

I would love to get more crucifixes, so each of my children could have their own!
I would love to get a bigger crucifix for our kitchen.
I would love to get a St. Francis book for my dd.
The Easter scene is absoulutely beautiful!
God bless you for putting this together.
With five grandchildren between the ages of newborn and 3.5, it’s almost impossible to choose just one or two things! So here are some of my favorites:
God’s Wisdom for Little Boys and God’s Wisdom for Little Girls, along with I’d Be Your Princess or I’d Be Your Hero—what great ways to teach Biblical wisdom!
My Golden Book of Saints (19 saints!) sounds just perfect for my oldest grandchild to read to his little sisters and cousin. (Yes, he reads. Don’t get this proud grandma started!) Saints and Their Stories sounds great, too!
Little Acts of Grace—finally somebody tells kids why they should not chew gum at Mass! (Shudder—don’t people know what that does to Jesus?)
Father Juan Pablo and Sister Mary Clara could help them solidify their vocations, as could Becoming Father Bob. With all these grandchildren, surely some of them will become religious, right?
Too many good things to get for my beloved grandchildren—I may have to get a bunch of them even if I don’t get a gift certificate!
I’d choose the prayer pillow cases and Outburst Bible edition! How generous of them to offer a gift certificate!
I would buy some biographies of saints. They have a great selection of vision books and other lives of the saints for children. Great giveaway– thank you!
It’s hard to choose! I really like the puzzles, especially The Last Supper and Saint Francis ones.

We are a homeschooling family who uses games often. So looking at their game titles, $35 isn’t enough! ;D We would definitely buy a game or a few games. The Settlers of Canaan looks perfect since my children LOVE the game the Settlers of Catan… So wonderful and exciting!
I would also love to get a holy water font for our home. Thanks for hosting this giveaway!
I would buy something to use as a gift for my daughter who will be making her First Holy Communion this spring.
The Easter scene is great and our children have seen this in the Catholic Child catalog and wanted it, but I think I could piece one together (in all my free time! HA!) for less money. I’d love to have The Imitation of Christ for Children (http://www.catholicchild.com/THE-IMITATION-OF-CHRIST-FOR-CHILDRENBRiA-Guide-to-Following-Jesus_i/productinfo/10959/) and the Sister Mary Clara doll for our daughter (http://www.catholicchild.com/SISTER-MARY-CLARA-VOCATION-DOLL-BOOK-SET/productinfo/21926/) …or this book on sweet Lolek! (http://www.catholicchild.com/LOLEK-briTHE-BOY-WHO-BECAME-POPE-JOHN-PAUL-II_i/productinfo/10896/). My only problem with a Catholic Child gift certificate would be limiting my purchase!
I would purchase the Holy family water font. Our family has wanted a nice font for our entrance for a while now and this is a nice one!
What a great giveaway!
I would put this toward a Playmobil Nativity set (I have a little guy who’s loved our nativity scenes – he has a little creche he’ll actually try to take to bed with him, but is getting much more hands on!) I think he’d really enjoy having a Nativity that he can really interact with!

I would spend the money on two things:
- The Cranium Bible Edition (for awesome family and friend fun)
- I pray the Rosary! (a cute and helpful addition to the library)
This looks like a good idea for my family…..

I feel like it’s so hard to find Lent things around. I’d probably get the Swallows book and the Easter floor puzzle.
