Wanderings

We had a busy weekend: birthday parties, graduation party, first Holy Communion and potluck, soccer party, washing machine breaking, buying a new washing machine, grocery shopping, etc. I finally managed a few minutes on the computer tonight. I’m catching up on things I book marked to read later:

Shrink a Size in 14 Days

Auxilium Christianorum

Sensus Traditionis {I listened to three awesome, awesome talks while cooking: Wife, Common Pitfalls of Catholic Parents and Rosary as a Spiritual Weapon}

I Want to See God::Just Until Glory Comes

So what goodies did you find over the weekend out there on the world wide web?  Leave your internet wanderings in the comments.

  1. I didn’t have time to be on the web this weekend, but as a family, we had a wonderful REAL Sunday yesterday. What is a REAL Sunday? One spent the way Sundays are meant to be spent: not working! We drove to Mass at a large city church (not our own) to hear a friend’s choir sing the Mass. After that lovely experience, we took our friend out to brunch and then back to her home, where we visited with her dogs and heard about a lovely farewell she’d hosted the day before for another choir member. After arriving at our home that afternoon, we had time to read the newspaper and enjoy being with each other for dinner and TV. More reading after dinner — family style in the master bedroom — and a comfortable lights out when it was time. Truly a day of rest and renewal, just as the Lord intended for us.

    • Sounds like an absolutely lovely Sunday.

  2. Jenny…the Spirit is working through you! I spend a good amount of time on Auxilium Christianorum this weekend and have been praying the prayers since I listened to the talk: “Common Pitfalls of Catholic Parents” on Sensus Traditionis. I also listened to “The Dangers of Modern Pscychology”…what treasures!

    I also spent time reading some lovely posts at “The Cloistered Heart”:

    • Obviously, I cannot type today…time to get off computer LOL! Don’t mind the typos.

    • I’m glad you like the sites. They are so very rich and deep, I think it will take a long time to make my way through Sensus Traditionis. I’ll have to go wander around The Cloistered Heart, thanks for the link.

  3. I have found some wonderful sites this weekend. I have too found that “I want to see God” blog. Some wonderful community happening there.

    Here are some great ones for Catholic mamas:

    I like teaching through crafts and food lol…

    Great idea to share some findings. The internet can be a great tool. Blessings.

    • Thanks for the links Samantha. I’ve visited Catholic Icing before, but have not wandered around the other two…yet!
